Who was tavio ayao tobias amorin ?
Born on 20 November 1958 in Lomé, Tavio Ayao AMORIN was a brilliant young pan-Africanist politician.
A supreme fighter, Tavio Amorin, the face of Togo’s youth and a talented orator, wanted to bring his stone and his entire stone to the democratic struggle of his country.
In his relentless struggle against the dictatorship, he held several positions, including those of
– First Secretary and founding member of the Pan-African Socialist Party (PSP)
– Member of the High Council of the Republic (HCR)
– President of the Political Affairs and Human Rights Commission and of its Special Commission in charge of drafting the new Constitution
– Founding member of the Patriotic Movement of 5 October (MO5)
He was machine-gunned in the street by a Togolese soldier accompanied by a policeman on the evening of 23 July and died of his wounds officially on 29 July 1992 in a Parisian hospital.
